The NSS Handling Clinic is an informal, FREE clinic conducted by Ms. Lydia Hovanski Lyon, an AKC Registered Professional Handler, and AKC Junior Showmanship Judge.
This clinic is open to both adults and juniors who are interested in learning how to better show their Chesapeake Bay Retrievers in the breed and Juniors rings. Ms. Lyon will discuss setting up your dog to show off its best attributes, how to move your dog, showing your dog’s mouth, and how to problem-solve when things go wrong. For those with puppies, Ms. Hovanski will instruct the exhibitor on how to help a puppy that isn’t comfortable in the ring. She will also discuss the differences between Junior ring procedures and breed ring procedures.
Pre-register to hold your spot, Walk-ins will be allowed based on space available.
Bring only one (1) dog to the handling clinic. You are responsible for your own dog.
